The Independent Fostering Panel Presentation

Once your assessing social worker completes the written Form F document, you will have full access to read through, comment on, and sign off the report before it is submitted.

The final step is attending the Independent Fostering Panel:

• Panel Review: An independent panel made up of social care professionals, experienced foster carers, and education or health specialists reviews your Form F report in advance.
• Panel Meeting: You attend a supportive, 30 to 45 minute meeting alongside your assessing social worker (either in person or online). The panel members will ask a few gentle questions based on your report to confirm your readiness and preferred placement preferences.
• Approval Recommendation: At the end of the discussion, the panel makes a formal recommendation regarding your approval.
