We recently had the absolute pleasure of hosting our annual Foster Carers Christmas Lunch, and it was everything we hoped for and more.
As the festive season gets into full swing, it was wonderful to press pause on our busy schedules and spend a heartwarming afternoon celebrating the incredible individuals who make Lighthouse Fostering the community it is. The event was a resounding success, filled with laughter, delicious food, and a palpable sense of connection.
A Celebration of Dedication and Love
The Christmas Lunch is always a highlight of our year. It serves as a vital opportunity for us to express our deepest gratitude. Fostering is a role that demands 24/7 dedication, emotional resilience, and a huge amount of heart. Our foster carers work tirelessly throughout the year to create safe, nurturing environments for children and young people.
This event was our way of saying a massive "thank you." It was a moment to honour the difference our carers make every single day. Seeing everyone relax and enjoy themselves was a reminder of why events like this are so important. It isn't just about the turkey and mince pies; it's about validating the hard work and love that goes into fostering.

One of the best things about the Foster Carers Christmas Lunch is seeing our fostering community come together. Fostering can sometimes be a unique journey that only other carers truly understand. The room was buzzing with conversation from start to finish. We saw old friends catching up and new carers being welcomed into the fold with open arms.
